Most of these spammers are using automated client based spam products...
subscribing to a list takes a little time and might throw them off.
Getting new email addresses constantly in order to spam more lists and
such is also a pain in the butt for them. And, hardly any of them are
putting "FREE", "SEX", or "XXX" in the title... you just don't notice
that your not filtering anything out anymore.
