	stopping *most* spam is easy.

	install sendmail v8.
	ftp the files from:
		ftp.freebsd.org:/pub/FreeBSD/FreeBSD-current/src/etc/mail
	add the additional rules to your sendmail.cf or your .mc
	make
	make install
	restart sendmail.

	stops over 95% of the spam that i used to receive.
	stops it for *all* hosts behind that mail server.
