I usually notify the postmasters at the (apparent) source site,
simply as a matter of professional courtesy; the vast majority
of such incidents trace back to a security problem, and the ad-
mins in questions are almost always grateful for the tipoff.
Heck, *I'd* sure want to know if someone was using my boxes for
such things.
