my humble opinion/approach to the matter:

*re*verify? ha! i would be much more kindly disposed to hardcopy publishers
if *any* of them had EVER made any attempt at verification.
i do NOT want any reference to the harley digest mentioned in the book.
and there ARE many errors in the information below.
i have for the last couple years been rejecting any subscription requests that
show signs of being based on what is published in hardcopy. i explain to
them that they are supporting an industry that has proven itself to be,
and intends to be, irresponsible towards the Internet and Usenet.
promises of improving things in that industry will have to wait a couple
edition cycles to demonstrate to me things are better before i will
risk the side-effects of involvement.
also, implying raw email addresses are "URLs" is certainly stretching the
definition. is this what we can expect from the 2nd edition?
