Several MUAs will allow you to do basic filtering on headers already,
including exmh (using the MH slocal program) which I see that you are
using. There are also standalone filtering programs available such as
procmail which will happily do the same job.

If you consider applying per-message per-subscriber filtering to a
large list with a large number of subscribers then the processing
overhead required could rapidly get out of hand.
