I am curious to know if there are some good sources of statistical
information for mail delivery outcomes. Not just statstics, but
comparative or normative statistics.

I'd like to get a feel for what is "normal" , statisticly, for outcomes
like:

TCP/IP connection timeout

Could not connect to MX HOST

And similar messages.

How do you determine when you're operating within "norms" for most well
connected Listserver/ISP's and when your statistics are so out of norm
that it suggests faults in one's own system, ISP performance, and etc.?

Have you seen any surveys or good information of this sort.

How do you evaluate these factors, if at all, in the listserv your operate?

Thank you for any comment or referrals.
