outgoing not going

Hi,
	I just setup majordomo on my machine.  We have a list called insoc.
The problem is that when mail is sent from a non-localhost, sendmail returns
an error saying that the user insoc does not exist.   However, when
mail is sent from the localhost, things are ok.
Please respond ASAP
