Thanks to all who helped with my question; although I haven't traced the 
ISP in question, the Hotmail account has been terminated, and Usenet
fwd.'ing has stopped.  --- What I've .learned. from this curve, is to *be
prepared* (I forgot my Cub Scout's motto), and to be aware of a simple plan
of action if it crops up again.   Cheers,
