out there don't.  IMHO, trying to get them to remember 9 (say) different
forms of address in order to negotiate with MLM software is a much harder
task than trying to get them to remember 1.  

>From the programming side of things, I don't see that it makes any difference.
On the receiving end, it's just a matter of whether you parse the headers
or the body; on the sending end, it's just a matter of whether you
embed the directive in the address or the body.   Neither seems harder
or easier to me.
