Sounds like you expected it to fail, or you wouldn't have given up
after a brief try. Did you help educate your users to their existance?
Was it in your documentation? etc. etc.. Or did you throw it on the
street and then wait to see if someone ran over it by accident?

Mine get a fair amount of usage. It doesn't hurt that my documentation
and web pages interface to them. it's also pretty painless
administratively, so even if they weren't getting lots of use, I'll
leave them around because tehy're really helpful to those that DO use
it. (I don't have solid numbers on what percentage of users come in
through which door. Yet... But most of my errors come from folks who
don't use -unsubscribe and -subscribe... FWIW.
