Wrong.  Completely, utterly, totally wrong.

Spam is slang for "unsolicited bulk email".  The purpose or motivation,
the content, the sender, the recipients, the method (e.g.  directly
sent or relayed)  are all completely irrelevant in this definition, as
they should and must be.
