>From what I've seen after moving several active medium sized
discussion lists from a sever where digest was the default mode
to a server where individual emails was the default, roughly 1/3
of the $ubscribers like individual email well enough to make the
change themselves, 1/3 switch to digests and 1/3 accept the
default $ubscription mode. Overall, about 2/3 of the subscribers
end up with whatever you give them by default. On all of these
lists, clear instructions for changing the $ubscription mode were
sent with the welcome file.
