In this case I'm using Mailman, which supports both RFC 1152 and
MIME digests in addition to single mail delivery via a click of a
botton on a web form.

Digest replies tend to:

  -- Break References/In-Reply-To header chains
  -- Munge Subject lines
  -- Over quote
  -- Put new text on top of quote (I flatly diassalow this)
  -- Reply to multiple messages in a single reply
  -- Knot archived threads (on the web)
