Good evening! I am the owner of a list for Finnish-Swedish translators i
Finland. The server is situated in a university in another part of the
country and this list, along with many other lists, is run by the
university staff. There have been a lot of changes in personnel lately.
Mailman is the program they use.
Some weeks ago, they upgraded from Mailman 2.0 to Mailman 2.8 and in the
process the settings must have been changed, since the scandinavian letters
in about 50 % of the mail are now badly deformed in the digest version.
This also goes for a lot of subscribers who have not changed their own
settings and did not have their mail deformed before the update, so I think
this is not a question solely about html format - not for everyone, anyway.
This is how it looks in the digest:
Luftspj=E4la anv=E4nds =E5tminstone i Finland.
The university people have not been able to correct this so far. My
collegue thinks it has something to do with proper ISO settings. Do you
have some advice for me to send to the university?
CHRISTEL
