We've been experiencing the same thing for 5-6 weeks now. Either
the SMTP connection opens and just hangs - i.e. no mail will go
through. Or mail is accepted, but we receive reports of nondelivery.
I *suspect* they are doing the same thing that Yahoo and (I suspect
also AOL) are doing about deprioritizing incoming email based on
the number of bounces from an origin IP.
We only see this when we have a higher volume of emails going to
Hotmail addresses, including lists that do not publish as often so
they may not be as clean as dailies or weeklies.
