Oops ... I started that post with a quote from JC Dill:

... without attributing that sentence to its writer.  Sorry, JC.  That was an
editing error on my part and not an attempt to disguise the origin.

Some people never say who wrote the text they quote, as if all their posts
were corrections of others' errors and it were a kindness not to embarrass
the quotees by reminding the list who said those dumb things.  I think that's
very rude and didn't intend to come off that way.

This time, blame Rich Kulawiec.  I was composing my reply with OE and decided
to log into a shell account and send it with Elm instead so as not to offend
him, and I made the goof in the transfer.  Yes, it's all Rich's fault; that
works for me.
