I just tried to set it up and it only offered me use of POP3.  Since I'm 
an IMAP user, I couldn't really say how it is.

(Server-side searches means that, if you're using IMAP and your folders 
are stored on the server, and you search for specific messages based on 
sender, text in the body, etc., the mail program can ask the server to 
do the search for you instead of pulling down every message and doing 
the search on your client machine.)
