Funny, but my reaction was that they're re-inventing AOL as an open source
project. Trying to "be on the internet" while still cloistering themselves
from the internet. 

That is not, by the way, a criticism. It has some useful advantages -- for
THEM. But I see relationships like this should be two-way streets, not
vampires. And without any real advantage in return, what's in it for the
content providers? So I'm not interested...
