I've never seen that done. I'm not saying it is a bad idea. For very low
volume lists it might help (but periodic reminders, like mailman's, will
also do the job). But so far, people haven't found that this is needed.

I don't think anybody has put anything like that together since
reconfirmation is so rare. but I suppose that if you wanted to do it, you
might make the reconfirmation progressive. Fist reconfirmation 3 month's
after subscription, second one 6 months after first. Third and subsequent
ones, as annual.
Do your users really want the reconfirmation? Do you?
