I'm not sure I agree with that. It seems to me it's the user's
responsibility to make sure that they're able to receive the content
they want, whether it's a filtered mailing list, a blocked web site,
interference with P2P or chat/gamer services, etc. If the list owner
is running the list using any reasonably standard mailing list
software, I'd say his/her responsibility ends there, and it's up to the
user (in the case of a mailing list) to make sure that either it's
removed from their personal filter, whitelisted by the site admin or
ISP, or else finding another service provider or method of reading the
list (web mail, web archive, etc.).
