The Majordomo-Workers team is happy to announce the latest Majordomo
release, version 1.94! While this is primarily a bug fix release,
several important features have been added, nearly all in the name of
o "Taboo" regular expressions that vastly improve the ability
to moderate a list. Use these to catch spammers, off-topic
discussions, or list abusers.
o Subscription confirmation. Due to the ease of forging
email, use this to implement a "confirmation policy" for
subscriptions -- a user must send back a one-time key for
a subscription request to suceed.
o Simple Access Lists for who, which, get, index, info, and
intro to restrict access to everyone, list members, or no
Many bugs have been squashed, resulting in higher reliability and
better configurability. The documentation has improved a fair bit,
hopefully making it easier to setup and maintain Majordomo. Finally,
a config-test program has been added to sanity check permissions,
include files, and other common install problems. See the README,
INSTALL, and Changelog files for further details.
