No. The system is an HP-UX 10.20 All my problems started when I was too tired to be doing what I was doing, and entered chmod -R 775 majordomo when in the directory in which the majordomo directory resides. So all the permissions for all the files and sub-directories IN the majordomo directory, and for the majordomo directory itself was changed. I can't even remember what I wanted to do, and why I did what I did. Since then, I have removed writeable permissions from the lists directory, which got rid of one error message, substituting the last one for it. > > whats the group and owner of the files? owner is domo, group is . Wrapper should be owned by root and have the setuid bit set chmod u+s wrapper Group permissions should be what ever group you assigned to MD when you first installed it. If you still have the install files it would probably be best just to rerun the install. None of your aliases or lists will be affected. Everything should be overwritten and the permission set correctly. Then you can match the permissions of the lists directory and files to those of it's parent directory Regards, Pete ---- Peter P.
