While were dreaming...

I'd like support for splitting the list file into pieces. Perhaps if
<listname> is a directory instead of file, Majordomo would treat all
of the files in the directory as a single file for the purposes of
subscribe/unsubscribe/who. There'd need to be some algorithm for
determining which file to add new subscribees to--perhaps the first
one it finds, or the last one in sorted order.

The purpose of supporting split list files would be to allow multiple
invocations of sendmail--or even sendmails running on multiple
systems.

I've got two 500+ recipient lists that take up to 3 hours to make the
first delivery attempt, apparently due to the serial nature of
sendmail--the cpu's nowhere near loaded. Since these lists are
intended to facilitate dealing with emergencies, 3 hours is just too
long.
