Subject: Advice needed on sending special messages

I've run into a serious problem and am looking for advice. Last month I
set up a mailing list on my system, and two days later the list manager
decided to move it to a LISTSERVer in Sweden. The problem is that people
who subscribed on my server are trying to unsubscribe by sending
messages here, which isn't helping. They are getting very upset and are
complaining to my bosses, so this is developing into a real crisis.

Lots of messages have been sent out explaining how to unsubscribe from
the new server, but they don't read them, they just keep sending
messages here.

It has been suggested that I just close down the list by removing it,
but it seems to me that this will make matters worse by simply bouncing
their messages without any explanation. Sending a detailed response
seems to require modifying the Majordomo code, and I don't know much
about programming in perl. We have other lists running and I don't want
to screw them up.

If anyone has ideas on how to handle this would be greatly appreciated.

Bill
