Now, to elaborate a little more on my previous post as I should have
originally, here's what's happening:
Scene A
=======
Given: List xyz
Given: private_index = yes
Given: subscribe_policy = open
Given: I am successfully subscribed to the list
Problem: All subscription requests get sent to the list owner for approval
(me).
Problem: I'm subscribed to the list, but I can't get an index. I'm
told that I am not on the list.
Scene B
=======
Given: List xyz
Given: private_index = no
Given: I am successfully subscribed to the list
Given: I can get an index fine.
This is very weird because Scene B shows that the xyz.config file is being
read properly (with private_index set to yes, I can't get an index even
though I am subscribed. With private_index set to no, I can get an
index).

If anyone has anything to suggest, please do by all means. We have
5 company critical mailing lists that are currently frozen while _I_
try to get majordomo working so we don't have to use listproc 6.0 anymore.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
