We should hear from someone who knows LISTSERV about exactly why these
features exist, but I remember a discussion way back where a LISTSERV
person convinced me that these features are *not* redundant even with
open subs and unsubs. It might be that they retain the user's options
they've set, or maybe something even more useful.
