I just posted a script here in the last few weeks to do exactly this.
It currently works for 1.62. I think John Roulliard made a few minor
changes to get it to work on 1.92. John: did you get it to work?
I'm in the process of re-vamping it to make it more open-ended.
While I'm at it, here's the plan:
I'm going to split it into two parts. The first part will recognize
and log bounces; this program will not be tied to Majordomo in particular
so it should be able to work with other list software. The second
program will read the bounce log and do the Majordomo stuff to
handle the subscription change. This second program could presumably
have counterparts for other list management software. Comments?
