The first and most important thing to do is check the "strip" option on
the list. It exists for this purpose-- to strip the names and comments
from the addresses. This is already documented...
The second one is more subtle. If a user's name is in the headers, but
they supply an address without it on the subscribe command, they'll
only get what they specified on the subscribe command. For example:
The header says:
From: Full Name <user@site.com>
but they sent in the command
subscribe listname user@site.com
then only the "user@site.com" part will be put on the list; "full name"
will be left out. This is because an address on the subscribe command
overrides any in the headers.
Simple solution: DON'T tell your users to supply their address on the
subscribe command. They get it wrong more often that not anyways... :-)
