    As a general rule of thumb, Carlos, I'd recommend you edit _copies_ of
sensitive files such as majordomo, test them out under the new name (you
can do that by playing with your mail aliases), backup the original majordomo
file and _then_ rename the new version to majordomo.

    You should have no problem editing those files in vi.
