First off, I'm running Majordomo 1.92, Perl 4.036, FreeBSD 1.1.5.1,
and I'm new to Majordomo, but I've read all the docs a couple of times.
I want to set up a bunch of distribution lists, that should be protected
from postings by random people. It appears that I set up my aliases:
turkey: "|/usr/local/libexec/majordomo-1.90/wrapper resend #broken#
-l turkey -h Majordomo.cso.uiuc.edu turkey-outgoing"
turkey-outgoing: :include:/usr/spool/mlists/turkey
My question is: what is to stop someone from mailing to "turkey-outgoing"?
Do you just choose a weird name and is this security through obscurity?
That's what it appears to be, but it didn't say this anywhere, and I
want to make sure I'm not missing somthing.
thanks,
