I have a similar situation where I run majordomo on one host but have
a single alias file shared across several machines for ease of
maintenance. My solution has been to add aliases in the form:
majordomo:majordomo-live@host.domain
majordomo-live:"path/to/majordomo/wrapper majordomo"
and
listname:listname-live@host.domain
listname-request:listname-request-live@host.domain
Yes, the aliases *are* ugly and more cumbersome but its just me and my
sendmails that have to read them. On the majordomo-live host the mail
remains local because the alias resolves to a local address. I can
still advertise majordomo@mysite and listname@mysite as per convention
but keep all the admin in one place. If anyone is dumb enough to send
mail to "majordomo-live" on the non-majordomo hosts then they get what
they deserve ;-)
