Last week I sent a message asking if majordomo could do what I want
managing mailing lists built according to groups in the passwd file.

For your comments. Almost everyone told me to stop building my
lists each night. Other useful comments were:
-- learn perl. (I'm working on it)
-- have people subscribe to a "no-list" to compare with the
generated lists.
-- have the newuser scripts send messages to majordomo.
-- modify majordomo to record unsubscriptions into a separate file.
-- record only changes to the list each night, and send those
to majordomo.
