Hello,
My experience with this problem is that it occures even in an early stage of
setup and configuration of majordomo. I did tests on majordomo 1.93 when the
majordomo is not yet populated (i.e. there are no lists yet).
I have done test using dumb methods like:
$> cat /tmp/foobar | /where/majordomo/is/wrapper majordomo
This worked perfectly well, there were no problems. As soon as I have sent
a message to the alias bound to:
majordomo: "| /where/majordomo/is/wrapper majordomo"
then I get the following message bounced to postmaster:
----- The following addresses had delivery problems -----
"|/where/majordomo/is/wrapper majordomo" (unrecoverable error)

554 "|/where/majordomo/is/wrapper majordomo"... unknown mailer error 139

At this point NOTHING is written in the /where/majordomo/is/var/Log
Is this a configuration problem with the wrapper or a problem with
some perl scripts?
I am running a stripped sendmail 8.6 on a sunos 4.1.x machine with perl4
