Subject: Any Reasons for Not Using Reply-To ??

Hi all,

In connection with lists running on my machine, and advice I'm about to
give to the owner of a major list on a large site, I would like to post
the following questions.

Why is the Reply-To header not added as a default, making
standard list-replies go to the original author, in stead of the
list ? Is there a solid reason for doing this, or is it just a
harmless option ? And if so why is majordomo-users not using it
itself ?

Forgive me if I seam somewhat paranoid, I guess it comes with the
trade. I just want to make sure I don't give any fatal directions
to others, or have my own lists end up in looped tangles. I suppose
I'd like to know about contra-indications, reasons for NOT doing it,
anecdotes from the Netherworld, the hell of the sysadmins.
