I found another difference from the LISTPROC set up and the MAJORDOMO
set up for my list. In the former arrangement with LISTPROC only the
subscribers could post to the list. I took a look at the list config
file for MAJORDOMO and found:

        # restrict_post [restrict_post] (undef) <resend>
        # If defined only address listed in one of the files (colon or
          space
        # separated) can post to the mailing list. This is less useful
          than it
        # seems it should be since there is no way to create these files
          if
        # you do not have access to the machine running resend. This
          mechanism
        # will be replaced in a future version of majordomo/resend.
restrict_post =

>From this description it appears that a special file needs to be created.
I assumed that LISTPROC was able to this based on the file that listed
the subscribers' addresses. Is there another setting that can be used
for this purpose.

Again, thanks

John
