I run majordomo on my system and I also allow the use of several
different mail programs. (I started the list with only putting their
logins in the list, which worked fine for elm and mail, but did not work
at all for eudora (majordomo wouldn't recognize them.)
I then edited the list to include their entire mail address and my Elm
users have sent successful who, index, and get commands as well as my
Pine users.
(I too have tried it without fault)
Hope this helps and is not an oddity of my machine!!
