Really New and in Need of Help

I'm really new to mailing list and I need help/documentation on how to create
and use a majordomo mailing list.  I have read the README and FAQ, but 
both were alittle over my head, given that I'm such a novice.  Could some 
one recommend something else and/or point me in some direction.
