Moderated and protected list - please help

I am trying to install Majordomo on our system, and one of our list will
be a very private list; I wnat to make it as hard as possible for any non
authorized person to post to the list.  I follow all previous post to the
group, but when I send mail, I get the following as a header:
	(below)
notice the Apparently-To: and Received line; they both cary the name of
the outgoing alias (VeryHardToGuess).  

Question: What am I doing wrong?
