I installed majordomo under AIX 3.2.5 on Saturday and had the same problem.
In my
case, the difficulty turned out to be that I didn't pay enough attention when I
was editing the Makefile. In the POSIX section of the Makefile (what you
should be
using for AIX), there are some hard-coded numbers for the uid and gid that
wrapper runs under (W_UID = 54 and W_GID = 54). These will not be the right
numbers for your system. Edit these to the values for the majordom user and
group on your system and you should be fine.

Oh, yes... the handy way to verify that you have the correct uid and gid for
majordom is to "su majordom" and run "wrapper test" or "perl test". (There's
probably a better way, but I'm not a guru).

This problem is unrelated to perl or to the coding error in wrapper.c (I
fixed it as you did, changing char to char *).

I hope all this helps. Good luck.

Jonathan
