Subject fields?

When I send to a list (it's moderated and I'm the owner), the resulting outgoing
message has no subject field.  There *is* a subject in the message I post to
majordomo.

We have looked at the perl code for resend and have posted in verbose debug
mode, but can't find the problem.

Help/Hints appreciated.
