Majordomo can't see it's lists

I've just set up Majordomo 1.93 on our system and although you can send 
instructions to it (such as help, lists, etc)and it replies quite happily, 
when you send the 'lists' command it doesn't return any supported lists. I 
have a 'test' list set up in the list directory, and the majordomo.cf has 
the correct entry for the location of the lists.

Any ideas?
