Actually, no it doesn't.  Perl 5.001 crashes when it runs majordomo,
and Majordomo needs to be modified slightly to work with Perl 5.
Later releases have fixed the bugs in Perl.

The FAQ does explains all.  (but no, the FAQ nor its author is not
clairvoyant to when the next time there will be a Majordomo release)
