Assuming that your users are reading mail on a UNIX system, or at least
that there's one that the mail passes through, you can install a mail
filter which users can use to dispose of the messages before they're
read.

For example, procmail from
ftp://ftp.ftp.net.ohio-state.edu/pub/networking/mail/procmail/procmail.tar.gz
can be used with an entry in the user's .procmailrc file like this:

    :0
    * ^from: bryan curnutt <curnutt@stoner.com>
    * ^precedence: bulk
    /dev/null

I can use the above to toss out any mail that I send that comes back to
me with a "Precedence:" of "bulk", which majordomo uses by default...
