Subject: 14-char Filenames = BAD THING

Ok guys, this may be one for the FAQ or something...

If you're trying to install and run Majordomo 1.93 on a UNIX system using
14-character filenames (my particular example is on an HP-UX 9.04
system), your mailing list names may be NO LONGER than 3 characters.
THREE!

Can I PLEASE cry??!!

Everything in the list will work (or so I can tell) except for the per-list
config files. The config won't hold because of some sort of conflict in
filenames due to truncation, so if you rename your lists to three
characters, the configs will hold and everything will be peachy.

I haven't gone into list-digest.config yet, but if there is such a file, it won't
work at all.

Just a public service announcement.

Mike.
