New config files are placed under the name of
"<listname>.config.new". ".config.new" takes up 11 characters. With 3
for the list name that makes 14. Yup.

The fix can be to shorten the ".config" to ".c" and the ".new" to ".n"
that should get you some additional characters in the list name.
