I'm having a problem with Majordomo replying to remote commands. I've
installed it on FreeBSD 2.0.0 running sendmail 8.6.9. When I send
command to Majordomo from local logins, I get the e-mailed replies, as
expected. However, when I send any command from a remote address
(e.g. alcocer@netcom.com) I get an error via e-mail to majordomo-owner
which contains the following message:

The reply never makes it back; it fails in uux. My question is: why
does it fail?
I've checked /etc/uucp/sys (it exists and readable by everyone) and
the uux options in /etc/sendmail.cf. I've tested outbound mail to the
same address (it works), so it seems that somehow I've got Majordomo
incorrectly configured. I've also checked the perms on the various
Majordomo files (they're all owned by root, and their group is
majordom, gid=1001).
Finally, I changed the options passed to sendmail in /etc/majordomo.cf
(a symlink to /home/majordomo/majordomo.cf) to include -X for debug
logging, but then sendmail fails without even queuing; I get an error
message from sendmail about not being able to create the control file
in /var/spool/mqueue (euid=1001), and I also don't get the
aforementioned error message from Mailer-Daemon.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Although pecific information is
welcome, even desired, RTFM pointers to other docs would be helpful
also. BTW, I've looked in the archives and the users doc (via the
Great Circle Web page) for sendmail and uux, but I haven't seen
anything yet that pertains to my situation (I'll keep looking though.)
