I have searched high and low for quite a long time in the FAQ, any and all
README files..etc...still a bit fuzzy....Let's see how this list does . :)
Let me explain, the I am not the Majordomo admin. I am a simple Pitt
student who U of Pitt simply uses Majordomo for a mailing list, and I am a
list owner.
My questions:
1. When I do a "who listname" to Majordomo, it only returns the E-Mail
address, without their names. Is this the norm with Majordomo? Maybe Pitt
changed it? I dunno. I just would be nice when someone does a "who" that
they get E-Mail address with a name to go with it.
2. Are there any utilities/programs available for statistics of Majordomo
mailings? Like, how many E-Mails a particular person has sent to the
list...things of that nature? I haven't found anything at Great Circle,
but maybe some bored Perl programmers out there made some stuff...I think
this is a must in a quality mailing list. (Not that Majordomo isn't one, I
think it is...just would be nice)
3. Define 'digest'. What's the point. Why would I as a list owner want
to make digests? What purpose do they serve to the list subscribers?
I guess that's it. Thanks guys, keep up the good work.
