Mark, perhaps the best thing to do is send a "writeconfig" to your majordomo.
I had a config file get corrupted once because someone was
causing line wraps, so a comment (#) became a parameter. At least until
majordomo complained about it. The writeconfig pulls the original config
in again, so you'll have to modify the settings again. BTW, it IS "moderate."
On an HPUX 9.01 system, with Majordomo ver 1.93:
When I set up a new list, a config file was produced in
.../mail/lists. Then I wanted to change the list to be moderated, so
I tried editing the list.config file, and I set
moderate = yes
and I also tried
moderated = yes
The new config file for cis was NOT accepted because:
unknown key |5725| in file cis.new.config at line 1
