I'm trying to figure out the resend command-line options, and although
the README file is full of "use the -xxx option of resend" statements
there doesn't seem to be any place where these options are actually
described.
My particular concern is this. I have a list, call it "discuss", on
which the reply-to address is the list and all messages have a header
saying "You reply will go back to the list unless you readdress it to
the poster". When I post administrative messages I want the replies sent
back to me, and without the header of course. So I have set up another
list called discuss-admin with a different configuration file and with
the alias discuss-admin-outgoing: discuss-outgoing. At present I have
resend invoked as:
discuss-admin: "|/usr/local/majordomo/wrapper resend -R -l discuss-admin
-f discuss-admin -h biome.bio.ns.ca discuss-admin-outgoing"
(all on one line of course) and I imagine that some of the option names
can best be changed to discuss instead of discuss-admin, but which ones?
The "l" flag seems to be the one that tells resend what config file to
read and the "f" flag is "sender". Is this correct? And can I change
the sender safely? In other words, will
discuss-admin: "|/usr/local/majordomo/wrapper resend -R -l discuss-admin
-f discuss -h biome.bio.ns.ca discuss-admin-outgoing"
work? And are there any dangers to doing this? For that matter, would
discuss-admin: "|/usr/local/majordomo/wrapper resend -R -l discuss-admin
-f discuss -h biome.bio.ns.ca discuss-outgoing"
work? I'd like to keep this simple!
