I've seen this happen once before, on my machine. What had happened is
the disk that all the subscriber lists filled up due to a runaway
process spewwing out garbage. When a subscription request came it
Majordomo attempted to write out the new file and failed because there
was no room on the disk. All that it could create was the empty file.
This may or may not be your problem but it is something to look into.
